Course Description:

APT Firearms Academy's Executive Protection Course (Level II) will teach you the finer details of performing an advance for different events or venues a principal may attend in a wide array of environments.

​

You will learn and practice specific types of detail formations used to keep a principal safe from threats.  This will include how to move your principal from a residence or building to a vehicle and from a vehicle to a venue.  We will cover exactly where and how the principal needs to be placed in the vehicle, what each team member is to be doing while mobile, as well as the proper way to react to an attack on the principal, and specific details on how to evacuate the principal to a safe place while under attack.  You will also learn the proper way to communicate with other team members as well as with the principals themselves.

 

*Prerequisite for this course is the Executive Protection Course (Level I) 

 

This is a Missouri P.O.S.T. approved course

 

Equipment needed:

• Note-taking materials

• Handgun and holster

• 300 - 400 rounds of pistol ammunition

• Knee and elbow pads

• Eye and ear protection

• A vest or light jackets

• Sack lunch
